This week was full of big home sales all over the metro Boston area, but two $6 million sales in Brookline and two $3 million sales in Boston took the cake. Check them out.

This estate with 11,408 square feet of living space, seven bedrooms, and 6.5 bathrooms sold for $6,980,000 on March 31, well above Brookline’s $775,000 median closing price. The home has a grand foyer with crown moldings, imported Italian marble, custom cabinetry, a carriage house, a glassed-in gym, and sits on almost an acre of land.


180 Clyde Street, Brookline

On March 29, this seven-bedroom, five-bathroom, two-half bathroom, 8,946-square-foot home sold for $6,732,000, high above Brookline’s median closing price. The home is a shingle-style estate and has a carriage house with a four-car garage, a wrap-around porch, and a pool.
