This Spanish-style home with eight bedrooms, eight full baths, two half baths, and 9,004 square feet of indoor living space is impressive in its own right. Add in the fact that it’s the home of Red Sox designated hitter Hanley Ramirez, and you’ve got yourself a home run.

The property, 2903 Lake Ridge Lane in Weston, Fla., is listed for $3,993,000. The home is in a gated community called Windmill Reserve.

“We are extremely grateful to what the city of Weston offered us during our stay there,” Ramirez said in a statement. “Our children enjoyed the privacy, security, and most of all the amazing A-plus schools. We truly loved our time in this home. However, as our children grew, they wanted to explore other activities, which led us to relocate. I pray the next homeowners are as blessed and grateful as we were in this home.”

The home’s listing agent, Giselle Bonetti, said in a statement that “Ramirez purchased the home while playing for the Miami Marlins and has owned it for 10 years now.”

Inside the estate, you’ll find lots of arches, an open floor plan, and a kitchen with stainless-steel appliances, French marble, and Brazilian hardwood floors. Amenities include billiard and poker rooms, a home theater, a guest suite, and two fireplaces.

“What stands out the most is the Spanish-style resort pool right in the home’s backyard,” Bonetti said. “There’s nothing like it in this area, with its imported Spanish tiles and intricate design. The fountain in the front of the home has the same imported tiles, tying the home together beautifully.”

The home, which was built in 2008, sits on an acre lot.
