A mix of Gilded Age grandeur and European style makes the home at 510 Randolph Ave. in Milton a glamorous site to behold. And now the home, which is celebrating its centennial, needs its next residents.
Listed for $1,850,000, the home includes four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, three half bathrooms, six fireplaces, and 8,159 square feet of living space. It sits on nearly 2½ acres of land, according to its listing.
“It also has an ambiance that you always drive by and wonder who lives there,” listing agent Kevin Keating of Keating Brokerage said in an interview with Boston.com.
The home has an interesting history. It’s rumored to have been built by a Spanish ambassador, who wanted the home to mimic his residence in Madrid. The current owners put on an addition for the kitchen and a bar, Keating said.
“It’s a pretty amazing home,” Keating said. “It has concrete fireplaces in a couple of the rooms that are really cool.”
The entryway boasts a grand staircase, tile floors, and an intricate ceiling medallion, while the living room features a fireplace, hardwood floors, and exposed wood beams. The home also has a dining room, as well as a kitchen with skylights, more wood details across the ceiling, a large island, and bar seating for casual dining.
The basement houses a home theater with 12 seats, and there’s a billiard room with a bar. Outside, there’s a patio large enough for entertaining, plus an in-ground pool and hot tub.
For guests, there’s a separate guest house, Keating said. “[It] is a house that is built for entertaining.”
