This Cohasset property boasts ocean views, a sports court, and a walkway to Little Harbor, but the updates to its interior should not be overlooked.

The Shingle-style home at 100 Nichols Road was built in 1895, but it has undergone a down-to-the-studs renovation, according to the listing.

Listing agent Gail Petersen Bell of Compass said the old and new meld seamlessly.

“It’s a great combination of the old Yankee exterior and the brand-new ‘what everybody’s looking for’ interior,” Petersen Bell said. “They hired all the right consultants and designers and stagers and everything that just went way, way, way above what a typical spec house would look like.”

The home features leathered quartz and granite countertops in the kitchen, coffered ceilings, elegant molding and wainscot, built-ins, a wet bar on the third floor, a gym, a glass-enclosed wine cellar, and a master suite with dual custom closets, a fireplace (one of three in the home), a soaking tub, a frameless-glass shower, and a deck. An addition to the home houses the breakfast area, family room, mudroom, and enclosed breezeway, according to the listing.

Petersen Bell said the space above the three-car garage has electricity and heat and could easily be converted into a home office. The garage also houses a potting room.

Outside, the property offers a sports court that can accommodate tennis, basketball, and pickleball games, as well as a wraparound porch, a circular driveway, and a croquet court with stone walls.

Petersen Bell also noted that the property includes a path to Little Harbor, a great place for kayaking and other water activities, and that it is only a short walk to Sandy Beach.

The property has six bedrooms, seven full baths, three half baths, and 7,289 square feet of living space. It is listed for $4,950,000, and sits on 3.83 acres.
