With a price tag of a little more than half a million dollars, this is one of the most affordable “castles” you’ll see for sale. And buyers noticed: Someone snapped it up in 10 days.

46 Clairmont St. was listed for $629,000 on March 2. The Lynn home is dubbed “the castle,” mainly due to its stone exterior and cylindrical entrance. Inside, the room serves as a towering foyer with a large picture window, herringbone floor, and dramatic curved staircase.

Built in 1940, the home features oak floors with inlays, a fireplace in the living room, and a bump-out in the dining room that looks out to the grounds — 0.68 of an acre filled with terraced planting beds, fruit trees, and lawn. A sliding glass door in the kitchen provides access to a patio and those outdoor treats, as well as double wall ovens.

The first and second floors of the 2,404-square-foot home offer one full bathroom and two bedrooms each, with an additional half bathroom on the lower level. And while the second-floor grants access to a roof deck, the first-floor bathroom may spark envy: It boasts a futuristic automated shower and whirlpool bathtub.

Another curved staircase to the partially-finished lower level leads to a home theater outfitted with a projector, screen, and full wet bar.

The home’s heating and cooling systems have been updated. The two-car garage is tucked underneath the house.

Christopher Polak of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has the listing.
