That year, the state saw its largest sale ever, according to CBS Boston, with the 16-acre “Longview on Lake Winnipesaukee”— complete with a helicopter pad, “entertainment barn,” guest cottage, and more— going for $49, 000,000

With 8,372 square feet of waterfront living space, 78 Powers Road has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, as well as a private beach and dock right on Lake Winnipesaukee. The home offers several amenities, including six stone fireplaces, an outdoor hot tub, a home theater, a golf simulator room, and a partially covered deck with an “outdoor summer kitchen,” according to the listing. The property also includes an in-law apartment and a 40-by-60-foot barn offering “unlimited potential for family events and car collecting,” according to the listing.

The record sale is only in comparison to other residential market sales and does not include auctions or other off-market transactions. Susan Bradley represented the buyer. Ellen Mulligan represented the seller. Both are with Coldwell Banker Realty.
