Modern amenities abound in the 7,400 square foot contemporary at 18 Blueberry Lane in Lexington, from a stylish wine cellar, to an in-house gym area, to the massive owner’s bedroom.
The 6 bedroom, 6.5 bathroom home hit the market Oct. 5 for $3.5 million. The home is still being constructed, listing agent Beth Sager of Keller Williams Boston said, but it will be ready for its new owners to move into come December.
Though the wait may be too long for someone looking to move immediately, there is a bonus to the home’s in-the-works state: interested buyers can give their input on the design. The builder, Lexington-based Dnd Homes, is “happy to have input from the buyer,” Sager said, as it, “makes them really make their houses unique and beautiful.” The builder has a designer on staff, Sager said, who can help buyers who are new to design create a functional and aesthetically coherent layout.
Hardwood floors will run throughout the first and second floors. The home opens into a foyer, with the dining room to the left and the living room to the right, with built-in cabinets and shelving respectively.
The family room and kitchen share an open floor plan. The kitchen will include a wet bar, Italian cabinetry, and an island with a sink and a dishwasher, according to the listing and the floor plan. The countertops will be quartz, Sager said.
The half bathroom is also located on this floor, as is a bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and access to the back deck, according to the floor plan.
Upstairs, the massive owner’s bedroom will include two walk-in closets, a double-sided fireplace, and a sitting room. The en-suite owner’s bathroom will have a double-sink vanity, a walk-in shower, and a separate tub. The other three bedrooms on this floor will also have en-suite bathrooms, and two will have walk-in closets.
The wine cellar and gym space will be located in what will be the finished basement, as will a recreation room and another bedroom and bathroom. According to the floor plan, there will also be multiple rooms for storage on this floor. A heated garage on the side of the home will have room for at least three vehicles.
Sager’s favorite part of the home?
“I personally love the windows,” she said. “The windows are huge. In every room, you just feel the nature coming through, and I love the view from the front door. It’s a very peaceful home.”
