Le Petit Trianon Built in 1912, this magnificent estate draws on both the rage for Colonial Revival architecture in the early teens and later, in the 1940s and 50s, drew on the plans and arrangement of the famed Petit Trianon at the Palace of Versailles. Designed with the traditional five bay width, constructed of brick with carved marble detail, and augmented in the 1950s with museum-quality, antique fittings and fixtures attributed to the 5th Avenue mansion of William H Vanderbilt.
