One of the region’s priciest sales on the Multiple Listing Service last week was a Beacon Hill penthouse spanning three floors.

Tracy Campion of Campion and Company sold 49 Mount Vernon St., Unit 2, an eight-room, 4,641-square-foot condo, for $6,950,000 on Thursday, Aug. 8. The home offers three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, one half bathroom, and direct elevator access to each floor.

The unit’s first level is home to an open design, with an eat-in kitchen, a deck, family room, and formal dining and living spaces. Additionally, French doors lead to a study.

The second level is the sleeping space, with three bedrooms, including a master suite with a fireplace, large walk-in closet, and five-piece bathroom.

The top floor offers more entertaining space in a room with high ceilings, a fireplace (one of four in the home), and wet bar. A wall of glass doors opens onto a roof deck.

Further features of the residence include wide-plank walnut floors, temperature-controlled wine storage, two washers and dryers, and a valet parking option.
