Many weeks, the biggest home sale in the area is about $3 million dollars. This week, Greater Boston saw six homes sell for over $3 million, and they were all in Weston and Boston.
The most expensive home was a $3,425,000 sale on Commonwealth Avenue in Back Bay, a street that has been having quite a busy last few weeks.

The three big Boston sales this week were all in two not-so-surprising neighborhoods: two in Back Bay, which has a median home value of $871,000, and one in the South End, which has a median home value of $749,400.
The priciest sale was 109-111 Commonwealth Avenue, Unit 2, selling on June 1 for $3,425,000. The duplex condo in a Back Bay building built in 1901 has 2,753 square feet of living space, three bedrooms, and 2.5 bathrooms.
The condo has a private entry, grand parlor-level living and entertaining rooms, plenty of historic details, and an updated eat-in kitchen. There is an elevator in the owner-occupied building and the unit has one deeded parking space.
For a similar price, 400 Stuart Street, Unit 20E, a part of The Clarendon building, also in Back Bay, sold for $3,400,000 on June 1.
The three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 1,878-square-foot condo has an open-concept floor plan, views from every room, and lots of building amenities, including 24-hour concierge service, garage parking, and a large roof deck.
148 West Newton Street, Unit 1 in the South End sold on June 1 for $3,200,000. The newly constructed brownstone triplex has three bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and 2,487 square feet of living space, along with direct access parking for two cars.
The home has many modern features, such as a Cust Kitchen with Thermodor Pro Series appliances, quartz counter tops and designer bathrooms, while still keeping some historic charm with its crown moldings and oak hardwood floors.
Though it is no real surprise to see big home sales in this western suburb, which has a median home value of $1,365,000, three $3 millions in one week is worth noting. The most expensive in town was 11 Pine Summit Circle, #11PSC which sold for $3,401,834 on May 27.
The three-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom, 3,015-square-foot home is a part of a brand new 55+ active adult community with luxury homes, called Weston Highland Meadows — the homes are all single-level.
Next up (and just slightly less expensive) is 2 Sunday Woods Road, which went for $3,200,000 on June 1. Built in 2012 on over two acres of land, this 7,700-square-foot home has five bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms.
The home, abutting conservation land, has detailed moldings and wainscoting, custom built-ins, a chef’s kitchen, a breakfast area, a screened-in porch with a stone fireplace, and a large mudroom.
Last up is 90 Meadowbrook Road, selling for $3,025,000 on May 31. The 8,616-square-foot home in the Weston Country Club area has five bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
The Shingle-style home built in 1929 has been elegantly updated and sits on almost an acre of land. Inside there’s a custom kitchen with a large island, a family room with cathedral ceilings and built-in bookcases, along with a patio outside.
