Boston and its surrounding suburbs saw an abundance of high priced single-family homes sell in 2016. Though eyes may have been focused on luxury condo sales, such as the Millennium Tower “Grand Penthouse,” single-family homes throughout the region still soared. Home sales ranged from townhouses in Boston proper to massive estates in Weston.

Here are the 10 most expensive single-family home sales of the year in the Boston area, according to data provided from home buying site, Realtor.com, ordered from the least expensive to most expensive.

Surrounded by a rolling landscape and built in 1928 in the classic Tudor style, this home has been upgraded over the past 15 years. It has seven bedrooms, four full bathrooms, three half bathrooms, and 5,723 square feet of living space. It sold for $5.9 million in February.
