Rhode Island native Olivia Culpo lives on the West Coast these days, but she still brings a bit of “East Coast prep” to her Los Angeles loft.

That’s according to interior design company Homepolish’s magazine, for which Culpo recently showed off her elegantly decorated Los Angeles space.

The 2012 Miss Universe winner’s bright, feminine loft was furnished by home decor company Hayneedle and designed by Orlando Soria in partnership with Homepolish.

“Olivia is a classic girl,” Soria told the magazine. “She’s got that East Coast, preppy vibe about her, so the minute we started chatting, I immediately was envisioning some sort of interior from a Nancy Meyers movie.”

Culpo said she appreciated Soria’s ability to create a “beautiful vibe” for her apartment, highlighting his work in the kitchen.

“I love to entertain, so I love the way the kitchen turned out,” Culpo said. “Orlando designed it so people can crowd around that space, and I can be in the kitchen whipping up pizza and different snacks, and of course, topping off the champagne.”

The magazine described Culpo’s apartment as her first “grown-up” home.

“Before the remodel, I almost felt like my home in Rhode Island was actually home and this was just a place I stay when I am on the West Coast,” Culpo said. “Now, when I come home after a long shoot day, I am able to really relax and recharge in the space.”
