The priciest home sale in Greater Boston last week, according to the Multiple Listing Service, was a Beacon Hill penthouse triplex that dropped for $4,400,000 on Nov. 21.
The eight rooms in unit 2 at 66 Mount Vernon St. are split across three floors, each with a private outdoor space and private elevator access.
Bill Gehan of Campion & Company Fine Homes Real Estate was the listing agent for the property.
The 2,888-square-foot unit is in a Federal-style town house that dates to 1809. The home, renovated in 2010, offers four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half bathroom, as well as smart-home technology.
The main floor features an open living and dining space with a gas fireplace, as well as the kitchen. Custom cabinets, granite counters, an island, a pantry, and high-end appliances, including a wall oven with a warming drawer, make up the culinary space, which also affords access to a terrace for dining al fresco.
The bedrooms are on the second floor, including a master suite with a marble bathroom.
The top level offers a great room with a home theater, guest room, and wet bar.
Above this, a roof deck provides a panoramic view of the Boston skyline.
