According to the Multiple Listing Service, the priciest sale in Massachusetts last week was a Commonwealth Avenue condo with views of the Public Garden, the Charles River, and the city skyline.

Listed by David Mackie of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, 2 Commonwealth Ave., Unit 14F, sold for $7,500,000 on Thursday, Jan. 23. The corner unit is located on the 14th floor of the Carlton House, a former Ritz-Carlton location in Back Bay. The 2,557-square-foot condo has two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and one half bathroom.

An open and bright living room provides views of the Charles River and Back Bay neighborhood, but the family room could have it beat with a floor-to-ceiling bay window overlooking the Public Garden.

The home’s master suite offers a separate sitting room, and the guest bedroom has an en-suite bath.

The sale comes with 24-hour concierge service and valet parking for one car. The home is directly attached to The Newbury Boston hotel (formerly known as the Taj Hotel), set to open this spring.
