According to the Multiple Listing Service, a Back Bay penthouse duplex that sold for nearly $10,000,000 was last week’s priciest sale in the region.
There is direct elevator access to the 3,620-square-foot home and stunning city views.
Inside, the elegant penthouse at 348 Beacon St. contrasts white walls and crown molding with dark flooring. The dining, kitchen, and living spaces intermingle in an open floor plan with a wet bar in the mix. The kitchen, which feels less formal than its counterparts thanks to its cream-colored cabinetry, includes an island, hooded range, two ovens, and a wine cooler. Beyond this, a curved office space shows off custom built-ins.
Jeannemarie Conley of Compass sold the duplex for $9,900,000 on Feb. 20. The unit has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half bathroom. One of the home’s three fireplaces is in the master suite, which boasts a walk-in closet with a vanity and built-ins.
The unit has two new mahogany decks, comprising more than 800 square feet of outdoor space. It’s a prime location; the building’s Back Bay placement allows for unobstructed views of the city skyline and Charles River.
The penthouse also comes with two deeded, assigned parking spaces.
