One of the priciest sales in the region last week, according to the Multiple Listing Service, was a restored condo in one of Cambridge’s four Neighborhood Conservation Districts.

Gail Roberts, Ed Feijo & Team of Coldwell Banker sold 46 Mount Vernon St., Unit 1 for $2,625,000 on Tuesday, March 17.  The property is located within the Avon Hill Neighborhood Conservation District, which according to the Cambridge Historical Commission, is an area comprised of “architecturally and historically distinctive” buildings. The home is also located less than half a mile from Porter Square.

The 2,683-square-foot unit includes a total of four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and one half bathroom. Visitors will first be greeted by a foyer with a curved staircase and stained glass window original to the home’s 1848 construction. The main floor is up one flight of stairs, consisting of the living room, dining room and kitchen in open concept, as well as a space that can either be used as a family room or guest bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The kitchen features imported white Italian marble counters, a six-burner range, and a center island with a sink.

The next floor up offers two more bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, including the master. The main suite features a bedroom with extended half round windows, a marble bathroom with a double vanity, a walk-in closet, and the only access point to a spacious roof deck.

The laundry room, as well as one more bedroom with an attached bathroom, are located on the lower level.
