That Brad Marchand’s Boston home was recently placed on the market might initially seem as cause for concern for Bruins fans.
But the 32-year-old winger is merely putting his 3,500 square-foot North End penthouse up for sale so that he and his wife, Katrina, and their two children can move into a new place with a little more space.
“It is bittersweet to leave the home where we started our family but plan to grow in the near future and needed more bedrooms closer to the rink,” Marchand told real estate brokerage Compass. “Our favorite memories were the countless nights we spent on the balcony overlooking the skyline with the kids. We will miss living right on the water in walking distance to so many great restaurants and friends.”
The three-bedroom duplex, located at 357 Commercial Street, has a current listing price of $2.85 million, via Compass.
