This week’s luxury home pick is a mid-rise penthouse with a private rooftop oasis.

At the top of the Seaport District’s Pier 4 luxury boutique building is this corner unit — a seven-room, 3,644-square-foot home with unobstructed views of the harbor. Brigitte LaBonte Petrocelli of Coldwell Banker Realty-Back Bay listed the unit for $16,500,000 on Dec. 11.

300 Pier 4 Blvd., Unit PHC, is awash in high-end details such as wide-plank walnut floors, ceilings reaching 10-plus feet, and walls of glass in an open layout encompassing a dining area and a living area with a fireplace. A marble island with a waterfall edge is the centerpiece of a kitchen that also offers double wall ovens, a steam oven, a 99-bottle wine refrigerator, and a balcony beyond the breakfast area.

The unit offers four bedrooms — each with an en-suite bathroom — plus an additional half bathroom. The owner suite bath boasts a double vanity, a soaking tub, a standalone shower, a pair of walk-in closets, and a private balcony.

The biggest draw may be next to the custom bar, a floating staircase that leads to a private rooftop terrace measuring more than 2,000 square feet. The terrace has a stone gas fire pit, lighting, a kitchen, and a speaker system. A pergola shades the kitchen setup, which comes with a gas grill, icemaker, sink, refrigerator, and bar with seating.

The sale will include four garage parking spaces, which offer electric vehicle charging and the option to valet or self-park. Building amenities include a virtual golf room, and fitness center, as well as services such as concierge, doorman, and an envoy available to run errands a few hours on certain days.
