This may not come as a shock, but Boston is one of the most expensive places in the country to rent a one-bedroom apartment.

At a median cost of $2,340 per month, Boston ranks as the No. 4 most expensive city to rent a one-bedroom, trailing just San Francisco ($3,500 per month), New York ($2,900 per month), and San Jose ($2,550 per month), according to a new report from real estate site Zumper. Nationally, the median price for a one-bed is $1,208 per month.

We scoured real estate listings to find one-bedroom apartments at this price point across the city. Four neighborhoods do not have any apartments for rent at the median; those are noted below. Check them out:

Allston
