Derek Jeter is looking to sell his Tampa Bay mansion — the same estate Tom Brady is currently renting.
The 22,000 square-foot property — the largest in Tampa — is on the market for $29 million. Located at 58 Bahama Cir. in the Davis Islands neighborhood, it has 7 bedrooms, 8 full and 8 half-baths, including a spa-bathroom and private balcony.
It’s being listed by Stephen Gray of Smith & Associates Real Estate, who confirmed to Creative Loafing Tampa that Brady is still residing there.
“Tom’s still living there now,” Gay said, adding that both he and Jeter have “come to favorable terms” so that Jeter could list the home.
The property boasts a gourmet kitchen that features a butler’s pantry and walk in-pantry. There’s also a wine cellar, an in-home movie theater, a gym, an in-law suite and au-pair wing with a living room and kitchen, and an outdoor kitchen.
The clubroom has a full-service bar, game tables, numerous televisions and a sitting area.
Overlooking stunning waterfront views, the property is also equipped with outdoor-covered porches and balconies, as well as a dock with two boat lifts, a heated spa, and an 80-foot saltwater lap pool.
The car garage is air conditioned and can fit six vehicles.
Brady moved into Jeter’s mansion in April, just a month after signing a two-year, $50 million contract with the Bucs. He is reportedly paying an estimated $44,321 a month, although that is not confirmed.
“I had to get here on really short notice,” Brady told Sirius XM’s Howard Stern.” [Jeter’s been a friend of mine, so we talked and it all worked out. Perfect for me here to get started here.”
His only qualm so far? Brady said people have been able to drive directly up to the back of the property in their boats.
“I forgot people could drive up to your house,” Brady said to Stern. “Here they can pull right up to the back of the house. Derek did a pretty good job of screening it. I am a little bit of an introvert. I feel like my house is my place I can relax. When you are outside the house, you understand everything with being me… in the backyard there’s a lot of boats that have pulled up and people at the front.”
