Room to Love: Dining space gets vintage look

THE ACCESSORIES

Jill Goldberg of Hudson Interior Designs decorated this new 7,000-square-foot home in Dover by D. Michael Collins Architects of Natick for a young couple. Vintage accessories, including a seascape Goldberg unearthed at the Brimfield Antique Show years ago, add a warm patina to the dining room.

THE LIGHTING

The hand-forged iron chandelier from RH, designed by industrial blacksmith Jon Sarriugarte, adds another aged element. The new Spindle table lamp by local company Dunes and Duchess has Americana undertones.

THE CHAIRS AND THE TABLE

Furniture with strong profiles echoes the architecture. Leather- upholstered Adèle side chairs with weathered wood legs from RH surround a Fermette  farm table by Verellen, available through Goldberg’s South End shop, Hudson.

THE BENCHES

Goldberg used Verellen benches with custom upholstery rather than head chairs so couples could sit together without feeling like one or two people were in charge of the meal. “It feels much more communal,’’ Goldberg said.
