Built in 1888, the Joseph Thorp House in Cambridge has quite the history, including most recently being home to the former US ambassador to Austria. It sold for $7,400,000 on Friday, Oct. 20, making it the region’s biggest sale this week.

In addition to the Brattle Street home, a waterfront home in Marblehead and 1890 Cambridge Queen Anne that both sold for $4,250,000, and a newly constructed Wellesley home went for $3,100,000.
