One of last week’s biggest sales on the Multiple Listing Service was a 12-room Newton Colonial with a tennis court and a heated swimming pool that dropped for $3,160,000 on July 3.

The Kennedy Lynch Team of Hammond Residential Real Estate sold 160 Dudley Road, a 7,215 square foot mansion on 2.67 acres. The home, which dates to 1914, has five bedrooms, four full baths, and two half baths.

The home’s open floor plan starts with a two-story foyer featuring a curved wrought-iron staircase. On the main level, there is a kitchen with a butler’s pantry, a paneled dining room, a family room with views of the garden, and a library with a fireplace. There’s also a marble fireplace in the living room, where a set of French doors opens onto a terrace and the property’s expansive grounds. This level also allows direct access to the two-car garage.

The second level holds all five bedrooms, including a master suite with a fireplace and private terrace. On the lower level, there’s a second family room and a gym.
