‘Deadwood’ creator David Milch has sold his Martha’s Vineyard compound for $7 million

The mind behind the TV shows “Deadwood” and “NYPD Blue,” David Milch, and his wife, Rita Stern, have parted ways with their impressive Martha’s Vineyard compound. According to Trulia, the home sold for $7,000,000 on Oct. 21, 2019. 

The 22-acre property includes three structures on the waterfront: a 3,725-square-foot main house, a 1,586-square-foot guest house, and 600-square-foot pond house. The main residence contains five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, with a shingle exterior, blue shutters, and a wall of glass perfect for gazing out at the water. There are an additional four bedrooms in the guest house, which also boasts a porch with wood decking and an outdoor shower. 

Realtor.com records show that the house went on the market in 2015 for $7,900,000. It last sold for $4,000,000 in January 1996.
